Kansas Flavor Pulled Pork

Course Main Course
Cuisine American

Equipment

  • 1 Crock Pot
  • 1 Skillet

Ingredients

  • Pork Shoulder/ Butt
  • Kansas Flavor Rub it Raw
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 C Chicken Broth I prefer Better Than Boullion Chicken Base

Instructions

  • Trim Pork of Excess Fat
  • Cover your Pork in Kansas Flavor Rub it Raw. Pat it on all sides.
  • Melt Butter on Medium Heat in Skillet
  • Pan sear pork in butter each side approximately 5 min until each side is lightly browned. This process will help keep juices in for a tender meat.
  • Transfer Pork and Butter Drippings to the Criock Pot. Set Crock Pot on Low and add 1 C. Chicken Broth. Sometimes I add a little extra Rub it Raw.
  • Cook on low until the pork has reached 145*. Meat will fall off the bone and easily shred when done. If tough cook longer until the pork easily shreds.
Remove pork from crock pot and shred. Add a little juice dripping to keep it moist while serving.
Serve as is or on a bun topped with your favorite BBQ sauce. Also great on wraps or salads.
When freezing leftovers i add extra juice dripping to keep it moist till thawed.
